Powering Potential

Powering Potential is a non-profit based in New York City that uses technology to enhance education and stimulate imaginations of students in Tanzania while respecting and incorporating values of the local culture.

I served as a volunteer teacher and consultant in 2009: I helped setup a computer lab and run the Technology Tent at Banjika Secondary School in Karatu, Tanzania.

The 84

The 84 is a statewide movement of youth fighting tobacco in Massachusetts; the 84 represents the 84% of Massachusetts youth who did NOT smoke when the movement began. (Now, 86% of youth do NOT smoke.)

I served as a volunteer at the 2013 Kickoff: I helped with audio/visual equipment and monitoring training sessions on tobacco-industry tactics and e-cigarettes.
